IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) technology is a gentle, non-ablative treatment which uses visible light spectrum emitted as an intense pulsing light which can be utilized for various skin treatments. Aging skin is something which everyone is concerned about and an ever-increasing number of people are interested in improving their appearance. IPL treatments can be used to help restore the skin’s youthful appearance resulting in a much younger and clearer skin.
IPL Zigma IPL treatment improves the appearance of photoaged skin, removes age spots (sun-induced freckles), most benign brown pigments, and redness caused by broken capillaries through a process called photorejuvenation for face and body. The process is ideal for patients with active lifestyles because the procedure requires no downtime and has a low risk of side effects.
At Magic Skin and Hair Care we use Zigma IPL imported from Korea (Seoul) which has 410nm, 510nm, 560nm, 585nm, 640nm, 755nm filters which can be applied for various skin conditions.

IPL treatment causes mild discomfort like sharp heat but not painful. Most patients describe it as moderate and acceptable.
Most IPL treatments have no side effects. Hemangiomas may cause temporary epidermal damage which heals easily. Redness and mild swelling similar to sunburn may appear and settle in minutes. Avoid strong sunlight and use SPF 30+ sunscreen.
Usually 3 to 8 sessions are required at fortnightly or monthly intervals depending on the condition.
Temporary redness and pigmentation/scabbing may occur and resolve in a few days. No permanent side effects.
Treatment time varies from 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on the area being treated.
